A collection of Melexis pressure sensor chips with excellent automotive EMC performance.
The MLX90819 uses an optimized architecture and high-density CMOS technology to achieve excellent automotive EMC performance. Its DSP-based architecture uses a 16-bit microcontroller and performs well in terms of initial accuracy.
The MLX90819 is mounted on a glass substrate to facilitate customer assembly of the chip, making it an ideal solution for backside exposed pressure sensor applications that require high accuracy, high EMC robustness, small size and the ability to withstand harsh automotive environments.
• Fully integrated IC: MEMS, analog front end, 16-bit microcontroller, analog back end, voltage regulator, and SENT driver
• Ratiometric analog and SENT outputs
• Automotive temperature (–40°C to 150°C)
• Exceeds automotive standard AEC-Q100 requirements
• Automotive diagnostics (clamp levels, open trace diagnostics, and multiple internal fault diagnostics)
• Glass base for easy assembly, backside exposed configuration, and high impedance to common automotive dielectrics
• High accuracy with stable EMC performance
Relative pressure sensor in a rugged package
The Melexis MLX90809 is a packaged and factory calibrated integrated relative pressure sensor providing a ratiometric analog or digital signal (using single edge nibble transmission or SENT protocol).
The MLX90809 uses an optimized architecture and high-density complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology to achieve excellent automotive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance. Its digital signal processor (DSP)-based architecture uses a 16-bit microcontroller and excels in initial accuracy.
The device uses smart packaging and chip assembly concepts for applications that require stringent automotive temperature and pressure conditions (small drift over lifetime).
• High-accuracy relative pressure sensor (+/- 1.5% FSO)
• Ratiometric analog output or digital SENT output (per SAE J2716 January 2010)
• Extended automotive temperature range: -40°C to 150°C
• Automotive-qualified with automotive diagnostics
• Programmable via connector
• Rugged package
Melexis' "Programmable Connected Sensor" concept for high-volume implementations can be programmed in a post-assembly production environment. The MLX90320 amplifies a proportional analog input signal to obtain the desired output signal with virtually no additional components. The device corrects for sensitivity and offset errors due to temperature effects on this output signal.
The MLX90320 is ideal for automotive applications with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C and multiple clamp detection and fault/diagnostic modes, overvoltage and reverse polarity protection.
