DIA82901 is a very flexible DC/DC controller with rich built-in diagnostic and protection functions. A variety of power topology architectures can be realized by simply adjusting external components, and each topology supports two modes: constant current/CC and constant voltage/CV.
The built-in pulse width modulator can easily realize the dimming function to reduce color shift, and includes a spread spectrum modulator to improve EMC performance; the current mode control used can achieve a stable regulation loop through a simple compensation circuit; the built-in The soft-start function effectively limits current spikes and voltage overshoots at startup.
Car headlights generally include high and low beams, turn signals, daytime running lights and position lights. The number of lamp beads of different types varies greatly. The enable pin can help users reduce system power consumption; the error pin can convey the fault signal to the main controller in a timely manner. Setting the error pin independently will not affect the normal operation of the chip's dimming function.
The dimming method is flexible and supports external PWM dimming and internal PWM dimming. Adjustment of the duty cycle and frequency of the built-in dimming can be achieved by simply changing the external resistor and capacitor values without the involvement of the MCU, saving MCU resources.
The dimming pin is controlled by the MCU; the MCU can directly provide an analog voltage input, or it can output a PWM signal to the pin through an external RC filter.
The dimming pin is directly connected to the system input voltage, and the output current will decrease as the input voltage decreases, which can reduce input current loss.
The dimming pin is connected to the chip's internal 5V LDO output through an external voltage divider resistor. On the one hand, it can save MCU resources, and on the other hand, the voltage divider resistor can be thermally adjusted using a thermistor.
